Connecting with Suunto

How to sync your SportTracks account to Suunto Movescount

Uploading workout data from your Suunto watch just got a lot easier. Today we introduce direct sync to Suunto Movescount.

Once you've set up the sync connection there is nothing else you need to do. Workouts from your Ambit, Quest or M-Series will be automatically uploaded to SportTracks.mobi without any manual steps. It's that easy.

Configuration

1. Click the My Account link in the upper right corner of the app and navigate to the Sharing page.

2. Click the Connect button.

3. Select the Suunto Movescount option.

4. Select if you want to import your entire history and enter your Movescount email (if it's not the same as your SportTracks email). Click Finish.

5. One final step. Suunto requires you to accept the application at movescount.com.

Once authorized, all you need to do is plug your watch in as you would normally do to import to Movescount via the Moveslink application. SportTracks will check Suunto Movescount every 10 minutes for new workouts that you've uploaded from your watch and integrate them into your history.

You can check the status of the sync connection by going to the Sharing page under My Account:

Manual Import

If you encounter a sync problem you can still manually import your suunto workouts from your PC.

  1. Select Add workout > File import from the main sporttracks.mobi menu
  2. Click "Browse" and navigate to the folder where Moveslink saved your workouts.
    On Windows:
    ▶ c:\users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Suunto\Moveslink2
Note: You may have to enable the show hidden files option in Windows Explorer.
On Mac, under your home directory:
    ▶ ~/Library/Application Support/Suunto/Moveslink2
  3. Select a workout SML file to import
  4. Repeat as needed for new workouts

The new sync feature improvement is another step we're taking to streamline your fitness data tracking - so you can get out there and enjoy your sport.

Brilliant !
I feared that moving from Garmin to Suunto would mean issues to communicate out of movescount,, but no, it works like a charm !

Wow!
I'd completely forgot about that. Makes a massive improvement to my experience now.

Thanks ever so much :-)

Could you please add a "force pull data from Movescount" feature? I know I probably have some kind of OCD, but I really don't like having to wait up to 10 minutes to be able to file the workout correctly in my training log.

Great idea! You can submit enhancement requests on our website here:

Does it sync the other way around? I have a lot of activities in sporttracks that would be cool to have exported to Movescount.

No answer for this one in 3 years. I've been trying to find away how to export my sporttracks moves to Suunto or sports tracks. Can it be done?
